FiveCurrents produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the inaugural European Games, Baku 2015.
Technick was contracted to provide technical direction and show control production. Technick were first on the ground in Baku, setting up the technical and show control teams and developing the technical and show requirements to deliver Olympic scale shows in less than 12 months.

The Ceremonies Staging Agency produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Sochi 2014.
Technick was contracted to provide technical direction and show logistics mangement. Technick was involved from the early stages to consult on the stadium design, and the show creation. Technick then directed the capital works, systems delivery and show logisctics and scheduling.

The Athens 2011 Organising Committe produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Athens 2011.
Technick was contracted to provide consulting technical direction.
Technick spent 4 months in Athens working with the local technical and producing team to deliver the staging, aerial system and technology for the ceremonies.

The Singapore Ministry of Defence produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, Singapore 2010.
Technick was contracted to provide complete technical direction.
Technick worked with the Ministry of Defence and local techncial team for over 12 months to design and deliver the ceremonies.

COPA AMERICA | CENTENARIO 2016

Technick was again called upon to support FiveCurrents with Fritha as Producer, Show Control for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for Copa America Centenario 2016. The Opening Ceremony for this historic Centenary of COPA, played in the United States for the first time, was held at Levi’s Stadium, a 68,000 seat stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Having been awarded the event very late, it was a challenge to assemble and commence rehearsals for the show. The main performance consisted of a cast with over 300 hexagonal props on which fabric was pulled away to reveal new images– north & south America, the Copa logo and the flags of the 16 participating countries.
The Closing Ceremony was held in the sold out Metlife Stadium, an 82,000 seat stadium in New Jersey. Following the final game, the show consisted of the awards ceremony and a headline talent concert featuring Pitbull.
Technick sent Nick to join the team in Rio at the very last minute to take over as Senior Technical Director for the Paralympic Ceremonies as the incumbent team need significant support. Arriving 2 days prior to the Olympic Opening Ceremony, there were only 33 days before the first of 2 globally broadcast Paralympic Ceremonies.
Nick took the lead of the technical and operations teams in Rio immediately following the Olympic Closing have spent the Olympic period engaging contractors and staff, and planning for these significant and beautiful shows.
Both the Paralympic Opening and Closing ceremonies were delivered on time and on budget despite the significant time, financial and organisational challenges that always face a Paralympics. These challenges were even greater in Rio. The Producers were elated with the Ceremonies and Technick yet again delivered at the Olympic level.
